Now you can use GPS Insight to import and store/distribute your custom mapping overlays.
This is useful when you have better aerial photographs, site or subdivision plans, or custom maps to use with your GPS data.

Here is how you use the new Overlay capability:
Choose Mapping:Landmarks:Overlays from the GPS Insight menu to bring up this capability:
You can create an Overlay in Google Earth by choosing “Add→Overlay”
Then browse to the picture you wish to incorporate:
Then size and rotate it:
You can adjust the translucency/opacity with the slider to make it more “see-through” if necessary.
When you have it correctly positioned, right-click/save it to disk as a .kmz:
And then upload it using the GPS Insight Overlay management screen:
Now any user on your account can download and use the overlay by clicking on it:
