Subscribing to our Cell Phone Integration package allows users to use any cell phone to determine vehicle location.

You must authorize your phone with the GPS Insight username and password for your user account. Your phone will remain authorized for that account until you log in with a different username and password. 30364 is our 5 digit “quick” cell service #.
The response features the vehicle name, speed, and location. If the vehicle is moving, the current speed is displayed in Miles-per-hour, otherwise the response shows how long the vehicle has been stopped. If the vehicle is at a landmark, it will give that landmark, otherwise it will give the current address.
Here are some example responses for the query for “gps rob”:
You can copy the reponse to another address if you need to notify someone else of a vehicle’s location.
Set up a monitor on a vehicle so you are alerted when that vehicle starts moving.
NOTE: This monitor is for a one-time-use. It will check on the vehicle until it starts moving, but once the alert has been sent, it will not be sent again until another parking monitor is set on that vehicle.
Create a landmark at the current location of a vehicle.
The response is a confirmation that the landmark was created at the current position of the specified vehicle.
Here is an example response for the request for “gps rob landmark market”:
Make sure you have logged in with the correct username in the ‘One-Time Setup’ stage. If the vehicle you are trying to mark is not available to the current login, this service will not create a landmark. Also:
Find other vehicles that are close to a specified vehicle.
The response is a list of vehicles whose last reported position is close to the specified vehicle’s.

There up to four parts to each vehicle’s response.
Set the default phone number associated with a vehicle. This will allow others to find the driver’s phone number from vehicle maps and send SMS messages to drivers from the GPSI interface.

Optionally, if this request was made from a phone with the number 9876543210 “gps truck 01 driver”:
This service is for logging your activity at stops during the day. When you run a 3D History map from the GPS Insight interface, your notes will be included on the detailed description of the last stop before your message was received. The key word “note” is used after the optional vehicle name, and the key word “memo” may also be used interchangeably with “note.”
Here is an example response for the request for “gps bus 4 note Talked to Fred about station 14”:
Optionally, if your cell phone was already associated with “bus 4” you could send “gps note Talked to Fred about station 14”:
If your vehicle is moving when the note is received, it will be saved with the previous stop point.
To retrieve your notes, run a “3D History” map for same day the notes were sent. The screen shows like the following, and notes will be incorporated into future reports and functionality:
