Once you have created a User you should assign his/her access permissions.

(Note: To create or manage User access permissions you must have Full User Admin access.)

1. On the GPS Insight bar to go AccountAdminAccess and click Open.


(Note: If Access is not listed on your bar as shown above then you do not have Full User Admin access. Contact the Account Administrator within your company to get access.)

The User List shows the access permissions for each User.

The main Admin User has full access to all parts of the application.

You can designate a default setting for New Users with the New User Default. All New Users will automatically be set with these default permissions.


2. To edit simply click the field you want to edit.


Caution: The default value of the field is Allow. If you click on a field it will reset to Allow. If you click on a field and then decide not to change it, make sure it’s set back to its original value.

The changes will take effect the next time the User logs in to his/her account.

Mapping – Controls access to 2D, 3D (if applicable), and Mobile Mapping.

Landmarks – Controls the ability to create and edit landmarks and landmark groups. Users denied this access can still view landmarks in mapping and run landmark reports.

Reports – Controls the ability to create and run reports including scheduled reports. If denied this access users can still run a Scheduled Alert History report.

Alerts – Controls the ability to create and edit vehicle alerts for speeding, idling, odd-hours, landmarks, etc. It also controls the ability to run a Scheduled Alert History report.

Maintenance – Controls the ability to create and edit service reminders and scheduled maintenance alerts.

Messaging – Controls the ability to send and receive SMS messages to drivers and create and edit SMS numbers for vehicles. This does not control messaging to Garmins.

Driver Admin – Controls the ability to create and edit drivers, assign them to vehicles, create and edit driver groups, and run a Drivers Report.

Vehicle Admin – Controls the ability to register vehicles and create and edit vehicle groups.

Full User Admin – Controls the ability to create and edit users, assign users to vehicle groups and driver groups, and assign user permissions.
