Routes and route creation/optimization are only available via subscription to our GPS Insight Routing Enhancement.
Certain volume and industry restrictions apply.
Ask your salesperson about the Routing Enhancement or to turn on a trial or full version. There is an additional cost beyond the $34.95 monthly cost for Routing. 3-D mapping is also a required enhancement to use the routing feature.
Once Routing is available, create a route in the following way:
First Create Landmarks. Take the landmarks you are interested in routing a vehicle or driver to, and double click or drag them until they show up in the “Route List.” Drag and drop them to adjust their order. Specify that the driver should return to the start landmarks.
Choose your color scheme, route name, and optimization preferences in the “Saved Route” box. “Optimize” indicates that the order of the landmarks will be adjusted to make it the shortest/fastest (based on the preference specified under “Highways”).
Saved routes (and/or maps) may be viewed under the “Saved Routes” area:
Route directions are available by clicking the printer icon:
A Google Earth 3-D map is available by clicking the blue 3-D globe icon:
The route is colored from beginning to end from light to dark.
The vehicle history can then be mapped and compared to the route itself:
