- Copy from Google Earth (kml)
- Create from a 2D or 3D current map
- Create from a report
Import from a Spreadsheet
Please see Landmark Import and Categorization.
KML Import from Google Earth
If you’re in Google Earth you can create a polygon then copy and paste it to KML Import to create a landmark.
1. In Google Earth click on the polygon tool.

2. Create the border for your landmark and name it.

3. Right click on the landmark and select copy.

4. On the GPS Insight bar go to Mapping – Landmarks – KML Import. Right click in the box and select paste. Click Import Now.

5. To add the landmark to a new group check the box and enter the name of the new group. Click Import Now.
To add it to an existing group check the box on the right and select the landmark group from the dropdown menu. Click Import Now. (Note: Uncheck both boxes if you don’t want to add it to a landmark group.)

Create from a 2D or 3D Current Map
You can create a landmark at a vehicle’s current location on a map.
Find the vehicle in a 2D or 3D Current map. Click once on the vehicle icon. Click on Create from point.

This will take you to the standard landmark creation page (see How do I create, edit and delete landmarks?). On this page you can name the landmark, adjust its size and/or shape, assign it a color, and add it to landmark groups. Make sure to Save Landmark.
Create from a Report
Many reports allow you to create a landmark from a Location. This would be useful if a vehicle made a stop at a new customer location.
1. On the report click the create a landmark icon.

This will take you to the standard landmark creation page (see How do I create, edit and delete landmarks?). On this page you can name the landmark, adjust its size and/or shape, assign it a color, and add it to landmark groups. Make sure to Save Landmark.
