GPS Insight has recently enabled its customers to choose a different shape for each group (or single) of vehicles within its mapping.

This is convenient for when different types of vehicles are shown at once, or you need to distinguish between different branches.

Here is a screenshot of 2D mapping with different icons for various groups of vehicles:

Here is how to launch the icon shape screen:

Then you can begin to define what the shapes mean (type a designation for the legend), and select vehicle groups and individual (or all) vehicles and drag a shape onto them to assign it:

Once the shapes have been assigned, they will be visible next to each vehicle – this shows a single “Manager” circle being dropped onto vehicle 110:

At this point, the map will display the proper shape, in the appropriate color and direction arrow or note indicator on top of the icon:

A legend will be introduced soon which will help the user to remember what each of the shapes means. It can be collapsed and will be on top of the “Vehicles” list.
